How MiloMint points & allowance work — simple enough for a 5-year-old
The question every parent asks first: my kid spent 30 points on a movie night — where did the 30 go? Here is the whole MiloMint economy in one picture and five short rules.
✅ Do a task → points go up.
💰 Reward time → weekly pocket money, automatic.
🎁 Buy a reward → points go down. They just vanish.
🍿 You hand over the real thing.
🏆 You're in charge. The app is the scoreboard.
Money mode? Same thing, in dollars. The app never moves real money.
Frequently asked questions
Where do points go when my kid spends them on a reward?
Nowhere — they vanish. 100 points minus a 30-point movie night leaves 70, and you hand over the movie night. Points are a scoreboard, not a currency.
What is reward time in MiloMint?
Weekly pocket money, added automatically on the day you pick. Skipped tasks can shrink it if you set a deduction.
Does MiloMint move real money?
Never. The app keeps score; you do the paying in real life.
What's the difference between points mode and money mode?
Same scoreboard, different label. Points are playful; money mode counts real dollars you settle in person. Switch anytime in Settings.
